Lewis Hamilton's on fire!!!!

Though i was never an Lewis Hamilton fan and i would say i still ain't but there is something about this driver that litrally seperates him from the rest,Lewis Hamilton has got an very intollerable thirst to get that drivers championship.This thirst maybe became more stronger after thechampionship trophy slipped from his hands just by 1 point in 2007!!

Well you may feel reading through my post that what am saying about Lewis Hamilton isn't something new! or we always knew about it! but i being an kimi fan hadly paid attention to this guys driving and determination and hardly appreciated it.

Hamilton at monza was an ferocious lion,who wanted to get the best possible position he could get and i wont be wrong if i would say while sitting in the cockpit of that McLaren MP4-23 he was thinking"I gotta win this race today,if not that atleast i want to be in the podium and i know i can do it",he drove like an knight from the start,he never missed an opportunity to overtake someone and never did gave someone an opportunity to overtake him,once he overtook kimi on lap8 there was no stopping him after that,he was just flying and going on on it,he was like come what may i wont be wasting my time in the midfield i gotta get out of here into the top,and he never wasted time behind any one who came on his way.

His overtaking maneovere on Kimi,Glock and Mark webber being the highlight of the race.He pushed Timo glock almost out into the grass showing no mercy and then he pulled another ruthless manevere on Mark Webber, Mark Webber and he both almost had an contact then he also sent him out of the track and when he joined back ahead of him he wasted no time in overtaking him back again.

But during the closing stages of the race,there wasnt rain as expected and though most of the drivers were on intermediate tires,Hamilton who pitted only 1's had to stay on with the extreme wet weather tires,decreasing his pace and limiting him to 7th position.

Why Hamilton,Kimi,Massa,kubica-struggled?..while Vettel,heikki,webber..zoomed past

The Saturdays Qualifying seesiopn which took place at Monza-For the Italian gp,was an session which boasted of complete drama and suspense!! Frontenders like-Lewis Hamilton,Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa were seen constantly struggling for grip as the rain marred the whole session.

Lewis Hamilton would be the only driver who struggled the most as his McLAren-Mercedes which is mostly seen topping the timing sheets was found down the timing sheets struggling to bring the car out of relegation zone during the Q2 session,and so was kimi raikonen.

The reason for it isn't the wrong tyre choice,but the set-up of the car.As was found during the session,Heikki kovalaienen the team mate of championship contender Lewis Hamilton was found constantly in top 5 during all the 3 sessions but that wasn't the case with Lewis,Kimi's teammate Massa too was performing better than him.

The top teams actually gambled with their set-up for some of their drivers,while Heikki dared to set his car for completely wet conditions,lewis reckoned that it would be semi wet and semi dry and set his car for the same ..and so did Kimi Raikkonen..and luckily massa had his set up more better than Kimi's which favored the wet conditions.

2008 Italian Gp-Monza -Qualifying session Results

Sebastian Vettel the toro rosso driver took an brilliant pole position in the italian gp-Monza,both the toro rosso were sensational in the rain through out the session and one of the fastest drivers on the grid,Vettel put up an brilliant show of his rain driving skill's in the Q3(3rd qualifying session) and his toro rosso wasn't far behind in supporting him...working flawlessly in the rain.Heikkii Kovalaienen was another great performer during the session...ending the first session (Q1) topping the timing sheets and finally concluding the session by finishing on P2,Mark webber struggled in the first qualifying session but did an awesome job finshing the Q3 session on 3rd position,reiging world champion Kimi Raikkonen and championship contender Lewis Hamilton would like to forget the qualifying session as an bad dream as they werent able to finish any of the 3 sessions on an high note and even after trying multiple times Lewis could only do best as 1.39.265 during the Q2 which caused him to be relegated out of the Q3 session also Kimi Raikkonen had similar fate and ended up one position ahead of hamilton,Massa too couldnt do anything great but however just saved himself from being relegated for Q3 when he finally clocked 1.36.676 but finally was able to lift his performance and finshed the Q3 at 6th position.

The Qualifying session looked really great for the mid fielders but was an nigtmare for the frontenders or the top teams like Ferrari,McLaren and BMW.

Rules Clarified in the driver briefing:About cutting an coner.

The FIA have clarified the rule that has sparked controversy this week, following Lewis Hamilton's corner-cutting manoeuvre in last Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix.

In a drivers' briefing at Monza ahead of Sunday's Italian Grand Prix, race director Charlie Whiting cleared up the confusion.

If a driver now cuts a corner or chicane and gains a place, he not only has to give the position back, but also wait a corner before attempting a subsequent overtaking move.

The debate has raged over the past few days after Hamilton cut the final chicane at Spa, passing Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen to gain the lead in the process.

Although the McLaren driver immediately allowed the reigning world champion to pass along the start-finish straight, he then overtook the Finn at the next turn, the La Source hairpin.

Hamilton went on to win the race, but was subsequently demoted to third two hours after the race after a three-man panel of stewards handed out a retrospective 25-second drive-through penalty.

Speaking on the clarification, Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber said: "It is pretty clear for people to probably not attack immediately again, which wasn't mega, mega clear in the past."
